What you’re choosing

Three choices shape a panel. Size sets how much heat it moves; mount and finish decide how it sits in the room.

Size

Four widths and three heights. Output grows with the front area: a 600 × 1800 panel gives about 420 W of cooling and 510 W of heating. A 1200 × 1800 panel gives twice that.

Mount

Free-standing panels stand on two slim feet about 6 cm off the wall. Useful where a wall shouldn’t take fixings.

Wall-mounted panels hang 15 cm above the floor on brackets you don’t see from the room.

Either way the water pipes come down inside the wall from the ceiling and meet the panel at a single fitting. Nothing runs along the wall.

Finish

Five powder coats and natural anodised aluminium, or a colour matched to your wall. The fins are the same whatever the colour, so the finish changes nothing about output.

Custom colours add ¥450 per panel (demo price).

How many panels?

About one 600 × 1800 panel for every 9 m² of floor.

A rough demo rule for a first idea. Smaller panels count by front area, so it takes three 400 mm panels to do the work of two 600 mm ones.

What changes the number

  • Large or west-facing windows, which let in afternoon sun.
  • A top floor with the roof above it.
  • Open plans joined to a hallway or stairs.
  • Ceilings well above 2.8 m.

Wuhan has long, hot summers and cold, damp winters, so we size for both seasons. A home survey measures each room and sets the real count.

Why the surfaces matter

How warm a room feels is roughly the average of the air temperature and the temperature of the surfaces around you (ASHRAE 55, ISO 7730). Panels work on the surfaces, not the air.

Colour on a screen is an estimate. In the Wuhan showroom, working panels stand in all six finishes. Stand next to one in cooling mode, then in heating mode, and bring a paint chip if you want a colour matched.

Questions before a quote

Does GLN do both heating and cooling?

Yes. An outdoor heat pump warms the water in winter and cools it in summer. The water runs through the panels, the room’s surfaces settle at the right temperature, and heat moves by radiation instead of blown air.

Where do the pipes go?

They come down inside the wall from the ceiling and join the panel at a single fitting. You don’t see pipes on the wall, and there are no vents or ducts anywhere in the system.

What about condensation in summer?

No condensation water appears indoors. Ask us to show you how in the showroom.

Is it quiet at night?

There is no fan and no compressor in the room, so there is no fan noise and no air blown at you. The outdoor unit has a compressor and sits outside, like any heat pump.

Can a panel match my wall colour?

Yes. Pick “Custom” in the finish step and give us a colour code or a paint chip. We powder-coat to match, for ¥450 per panel (demo price).

How long does installation take?

In a renovation the pipes go in while the walls are open. In a finished home we survey first and plan the pipe route. A typical home takes two to four days (demo figure).

Is the price in the summary a quote?

No. It is a demo range for the panels and their fitting. The outdoor heat pump is sized for the whole home, so it is quoted after the survey.
